PlatformNX

Platform NX
Powerful development platform

Version: 1.1 (Beta)
.
What is Platform NX?
.

Founded on years of experience and inside knowledge, Platform NX is a suite of technologies and tools that comprise a "development toolkit". It empowers application developers to rapidly create more compatible and powerful software solutions.

Platform NX provides a modular array of components and applications to streamline development, and save you 're-inventing the wheel'.

If you'd like to add networking to your application, simply drop in the XPN module, then choose from file transfer, authentication, instant messaging or file sharing features to add to your software. Manage multiple versions of a software project on your machine with the CodeBack tool, providing secure backup with snapshots of your code. Kick-start development with Platform NX, making applications easier to manage, implement and interoperate with.

The platform comprises the following components:

"The Platform" — Pre-compiled libraries for C++ and ActiveX™-capable languages (such as Visual Basic) providing powerful networking, encryption, and utility classes to speed-up development.

Software Activation technologies to protect your applications for unauthorised use. This module includes our StrongRoom technologies, and provides licence generation and customer-management facilities using industry-standard database formats.

Code-management and backup utilities, including a Source Server, that provides check-in/check-out of files for robust code organisation. Local Code Backup and Versioning tools are also included.

Collaborative Tools, such as Remote2Do, our shared bug-tracking and 'To Do List' product, and the forthcoming Collaborator shared workspace environment.

More Information
.

Central to the platform is the ability for applications to communicate across diverse networks using a standard protocol for file transfer and sharing, instant messaging, node configuration and authentication.

Local applications can communicate with those across a remote network through leading Peer-To-Peer (P2P) file sharing and self-managing networking technologies, greatly simplifying network organisation and protocol interoperability concerns.

Additional information will be published as it becomes available, and as the feature set matures.
