Nexus is the front-end network manager for XPN networks, originally developed for use inside Silver Forge. XPN leverages clients to extend the network - turning them into routers/repeaters for other clients on the network. It provides a unified communications architecture: Messaging, File-sharing and Searching in a single fault-tolerant protocol.
With Nexus you can transfer and configure clients on your network from a central application, irrespective of their geographical location. Using the power of peer-to-peer networking, you can interact with clients across multiple networks, both inside and outside firewalls and behind NAT gateways, all connected via multiple routes.
Nexus can "bridge" networks, for example making a link between your file server and a web server farm, translating requests for each node and intelligently allocating available bandwidth. |
