Nexus Network Manager
Remotely manage XPN networks

Version: 1.1 Build 144 (Released)
.
What is Nexus?
.

Nexus is a network manager and monitor. It provides network bridging and node-management capabilities, allowing you to configure XPN-enabled applications remotely via a TCP/IP connection.

You can manage and maintain clusters of Neptune Web Servers, and interface seamlessly with our WebGate server-clustering product. Underlying the powerful feature-set is the flexible XPN library, used across our product range to enable network discovery, file-sharing and advanced communications features between applications.

Now, following the success of the public beta, we are putting this power and simplicity in your hands free of charge.

Features
.

Nexus is the front-end network manager for XPN networks, originally developed for use inside Silver Forge. XPN leverages clients to extend the network - turning them into routers/repeaters for other clients on the network. It provides a unified communications architecture: Messaging, File-sharing and Searching in a single fault-tolerant protocol.

With Nexus you can transfer and configure clients on your network from a central application, irrespective of their geographical location. Using the power of peer-to-peer networking, you can interact with clients across multiple networks, both inside and outside firewalls and behind NAT gateways, all connected via multiple routes.

Nexus can "bridge" networks, for example making a link between your file server and a web server farm, translating requests for each node and intelligently allocating available bandwidth.

.
Rules and Management
.
Nexus allows you to customise its operation based on certain conditions and actions (click here for a screenshot). Should the user load on the server exceed a threshold, it will automatically transfer clients to different servers to balance the load, or even kick them off entirely. Rules can be customised to use various conditions, and more actions will be added as the product matures further. For more information click here.
