What is GRI?
.

GRI is a technology developed in-house that enables us to create applications which are fast and responsive, and that feature more than the standard Windows controls. GRI is designed to use less system resources when rendering the interface than existing methods.

There have been many implementations of GRI, on varying levels. For example, ASL uses GRI 1.0 to render interactive animations, as does Equinox Shell. Everything your see on the Equinox desktop from icons to menus to buttons is all rendered using GRI (see below), enabling its attractive interface to operate with a minimal performance hit.

Features
.

Equinox's file browser, Invenio is the first application to use the redesigned GRI 2.0, which is the most efficient version of this technology to date. GRI is object-orientated, which means that interfaces created with it are extremely easy to design.

Providing advanced customisation to the user is also easy since GRI produces an open interface. GRI provides an on-screen interface with an easy to access menu system for navigation, and full control over button placement and functionality.
