This page outlines some of our upcoming products and technologies. Please note that product features and names listed here are subject to change, and projects may slip beyond their targeted release dates.

Our extensive use of networking technologies in our products gave rise to a common standard for cross-application data exchange. We built our eXtensible Packet Network system, now in its third incarnation as the solution to our unified message needs.

XPN has been implemented across our product range. It's part of exciting releases such as WebGate, and existing applications such as Neptune Web Server and Equinox. You can download our free XPN management server, Nexus Network Manager.

Our need to protect our products from unauthorised use gave us much experience in protecting software from piracy, culminating in the creation of our StrongRoom suite of technologies.

We hope to bring the StrongRoom set of tools to software developers free of charge in 2004, to ensure they too can benefit from the enhanced protection and peace of mind, whilst providing their users with the most convenient way to purchase or lease software.

Philter is an Anti-Spam program that works by sitting between your email client and your ISP's mail server. It can be run in the background on your own computer, or you could place it on a dedicated server machine, in effect creating your own POP3 server. Philter is essentially half-POP3 client, half-POP3 server, and filters out unauthorised mail using a whitelist.

The whitelist is built automatically using a challenge-response system, whereupon the first time a sender contacts you, they are simply asked to confirm their email address by replying to an automated message. Once the system receives the confirmation, their address is whitelisted for a set period (usually several months) so future mail from them is allowed through hassle-free. Whilst a sender's address is pending verification, mail from them is placed in a 'quarantine' list.

Philter supports importing/exporting of contacts in CSV format, so you don't have to build your whitelist from scratch, or annoy existing contacts. We're hoping to release the product very soon for public beta testing.

Equinox Network Server Edition will feature a host of new products as we expand our server product range throughout the year. In addition to the landmark release of Equinox Server Edition and our new Neptune Web Server, other titles will be added as and when they are announced.

Many of these products will incorporate our new XPN technology allowing highly-flexible networking, and with a separate release schedule to Equinox itself, CENSE will feature special version of the Equinox client to tie the package together.
